Sunday, March 11, 2018 — Daylight saving time starts … Did you know Laurie’s Prius is a goatmobile?! …
Below are the two cutie-pie goats we took to Puget Sound Goat Rescue in Maple Valley today … on the way to visit Uncle Robert in Seattle. Drove on back roads through Eatonville … Rooney and Jack were wonderfully calm … great traveling partners … Rooney (white/brown) spent time with her head over the front seat, watching the road … And the tarp did its job, protecting the folded-down back seat from their piddles and puddles! …
Here they are, safely arrived in Maple Valley … They’re available for adoption, together, of course!

NEW ARRIVALS!
Meet Rooney & Jack! (Yes, we have another Jack and a Jax but both are leaving next weekend for their forever homes so we decided to let this cutie keep his name)
Rooney & Jack are a super sweet and social Nigerian Dwarf duo, a female and a wether (neutered male) who were surrendered to us as their family is moving out of state to a high predator area known to be unsafe for goats. This bottle raised duo was adored by their family and the family wanted what was best for them. It is clear they have been very well cared for and loved. They are about 2 years old and very friendly and have grown up around kids. We’re sure it won’t take long to find these adorable sweethearts their forever home!
It was an adoption filled Sunday around the rescue!
Nigerian Dwarf BFFs Jack & Rooney were the first off to their new forever home today. They have a great new home with all the blackberries they can eat!
This super sweet & laid back duo came to us when the family that raised them was moving to an area out of state that wasn’t safe for goats and wanted to do what was best for Jack & Rooney. Now Jack & Rooney have a forever home all their own. Happy Adoption Day Jack & Rooney!
Thursday, August 26, 2016, 6:06 pm — Teeny …and the red suitcase I took to Bette Davis’s Butternut Cottage, Sugar Hill, New Hampshire …
I made it! … Butternut Cottage … July 1, 2016 … On my own for the entire month in Bette Davis’s former home … purchased in late 1939, when she met her 2nd husband, “local boy” Arthur Farnsworth …
Teeny Tuxedo and Perkins would feel right at home … the nearby Littleton, New Hampshire, Shaw’s grocery carries World’s Best Cat Litter … made from corn … red bag …
All this red … car, suitcase, cat litter … made me think of Bette’s scandalous red dress in Jezebel, 1938 …
Below, Bette introduces the red dress to Henry Fonda … Jezebel, 1938 … her 2nd Oscar, Best Actress …
– Julie, it’s RED!
– It’s GORGEOUSLY red!
– You can’t wear red to the Olympus ball.
– Why not?
– You never saw an unmarried girl in anything but white.
– And you’re going to see one tomorrow night!
